SECRETARY'S COMMENTARY

I think everyone had a good time at the meeting. It was a beautiful day and Sailing
Specialties proved to be a very gracious host. Not only did they furnish the group
with a suitable place to hold the meeting, but supplied all the hot dogs and soda we
could eat and drink: likewise with coffee and donuts.

There were fifteen members in attendance representing nine boats as follows:
M25 (1)
Hunter 26 1/2 (2)
M26C (4)
M26X (2)

It was great to see Roger and Barbara Garland back from their Florida vacation.
They trailered their M26 down and spent two weeks there. The weather was not
the best this year but they managed to get some sailing in. They met with
Mike Corcoran, another MOANE member who was spending a month there.

It was also good to see Ed Goodhue. He spent three months in Florida sailing
the Keys. Ed said that he had problems launching his M26X. He usually
launches at Indian Town but the water was too low. Apparently the lakes are
low this year because of lack of rain. He did, however, find another place
to launch and sailed down the West Coast to Marathon. On the way back he
sailed on the ocean side.
