MOANE METING - FEBRUARY 18, 2001

Commodore Hal Streeter opened the meting at 11:45 a.m.

I.                MINUTES OF THE JANUARY 28, 2001 MEETING

MOTION 3

Bob Chase moved, seconded by Tom Warneke, to approve the minutes as
amended.

a) Under March Meeting at Mystic,CT, the first sentence is removed and
replaced with the following: "Bruce and Pam Foshay will make
arrangements to hold the March meeting at Sailing Specialties in
Mystic."

b) Under the heading Rendez-Vous for 2001, the Lake Winnipesaukee
rendez-vous will be coordinated by Hal Streeter instead of Bob Chase.

II.                       TREASURER'S REPORT

Jeanne Brock read the Treasurer's report.  She reported a balance in the
Treasury as of February 18, 2001 of $1,196.52.

MOTION 4

Bill Brock moved, seconded by Linda Chase, to accept the Treasurer's
report as presented.

                              Discussion

The Treasurer reported new members as follows:

Jack and Raini Chadowitz, Sharon, MA - Venture 22
Vern and Suzanne Maine, Nashua, NH - Venture 21

Regarding new members, Jeanne asked the group what they thought about
contacting them, acknowledging the receipt of their dues, welcoming them
to the association and asking them to submit information and/or articles
for the web page.  The idea was met very positively from the group and a
suggestion was made to include renewing members also.

MOTION 5

The commodore called for a motion to authorize the Treasurer to
implement her plan and use e-mail or, if necessary, hard copy.  It was
so moved by Mary Moran and seconded by Paula Crosbie.

IV.                                    BOAT U.S. COORDINATOR

It was decided to have Richard Clough continue to represent MOANE at
Boat U.S. 

V.                         APRIL MEETING

The April meeting will be held at the Nashua Country Club on April 21. 
Commodore Streeter will contact the club to make sure that date is
open.  It is planned to invite Mr.Jones back to give his presentation on
lighthouses.  

In case Mr. Jones is not available, the Secretary has a new tape
produced by Jeff Stagg on rigging his M26X in something like eleven
minutes that could be shown.  The tape has much of interest about
sailing.

The Commodore called for a motion to adjourn and it was so moved by Karl
Ackerman and seconded by Tom Warneke.

The meeting was adjourned at 2:45 p.m.
