MOANE Minutes of October 21, 2000

Meeting Location: Nashua Country Club, Nashua, NH

Attendees: 14 members with 8 boats represented.

The general meeting was called to order at 11:50am by the Vice-Commodore, Bob Chase.

Opening remarks included an explanation that the Foshay's were still down on Chesapeake Bay sailing. The Chases, Denisons, Foshays, Cloughs and Bob Ahler and Carol Mosely were all at the Annapolis Boat Show. (Bob and Carol had also brought their boat.) Bob and Linda said that the Annapolis show was huge and there were lots of boats sailing into the show on their way south for the winter. A rendezvous there next year might be nice..

Treasurer’s report: Barbara Garland handed out treasurers reports. There is $978 in our account and we currently have 75 members.

We discussed a new MacGregor web page macgregorowners.com. The format is different from the sailnet list. This involves questions and a series of answers. The list will be archived for future reference. There is a for sale section and olios sections on things common to all boats.

We also discussed interesting magazines including "Good Old Boat" and "Points East".

The Chases did 2 trips on the MacGregor this year. Linda is feeling much better.

The Roberges have a new Hunter 26 and spent the summer on Narragansett Bay

Loyd Dussault got as far south as Manchester MA on his new boat and as far south on Champlain as Fort Ticonteroga on a MacGregor

The Crosbies had their boat anchored in Portland for the summer. They saw the tall ships up there.

The O'Connors got their boat in the water this summer. Terry worked the jib when they sailed.

The Brocks sailed at 3 rendezvous and one other weekend. Their big event was a new grandson Wesley born in late July.

The Garlands sailed on Champlain, RI - as far as Block Island, and Maine. Roger met the Foshays and was part of a trailer sailing video on Lake Champlain in early October.

Meeting adjourned at 1:30 or so. People were still talking at 2:30 when we left.
