MINUTES MOANE MEETING, NOVEMBER 13, 1999 The formal meeting opened at approximately 11:30 by Commodore Bruce Foshay with 13 members present representing 9 boats. Updated rosters were circulated. Action on the Secretary's report was deferred until later in the meeting. The Treasurer reported that there was an account balance of $1,077.43. The December meeting will be in the form of a "pot luck" social at the Foshay's. There will be a "Yankee Swap." Those wishing to participate should bring a gift. The limit is $10. Those attending should confirm with Pam & Bruce. Details will be posted on the web page. Plans for future meetings were reviewed. The Executive Committee will meet on January 8th to prepare for the annual meeting to be held on January 15th. The February meeting will be held on February 20th in conjunction with the Boston Boat Show. There will be an attempt to hold a pre show meeting at the Savin Hill Yacht Club. Commodore Foshay will explore the possibility of holding the March meeting at the Hartford "Sail Only" show. The questioned was posed as to whether the club should present a seminar on trailer sailing at the show. Discussion turned to former members, and a question was raised as to the whereabouts of Mike G. It was noted that Rich and Lynn Clough were settling into their new home, but that Lynn had H. broken her leg. Submissions are still needed for the web page. It was moved, seconded, and voted to post the roster on the member only MOANE site. There was discussion as to the advisability of the club ordering Burgees for sale to the membership. Details will be obtained, and a decision made at the December meeting. Commodore Foshay will attempt to locate copies of the club brochure so that they can be available at the upcoming shows.
