Town of Brunswick Maine

Location: Merepoint peninsula

Body of Water: Merepoint Bay / Casco Bay

Facility Description: This Northern Casco Bay public launch facility is one of the newest on the Maine coast. It is designed and built specifically as a day use public boat all-tide deep-water access to Casco Bay. Popular for tailered vessels, kayaks and other hand-carry watercraft. A one-way loop with several make-ready pre-launch areas, large turn around and ample parking make this facility very user friendly. However, signage indicates that this facility is limited to boats of 24 feet and under overall length and rigs not exceeding 45 feet. Overnight parking is prohibited. Two permanent outhouses.

Ramp Description: Paved approach leading to two steep ramps with a 210’ floating launch dock between. Ramps are 28’ wide by 75’ long engineered sectional concrete slabs. Challenges include tidal heights, tidal currents, and crosswinds.

Launch Fee: FREE

Trailer Parking: Paved parking area with marked spaces for 50 truck / trailer rigs.
