Adding a simple transducer

Post by diveChick » Sat May 14, 2016 9:18 am

We decided to add a transducer by Vexilar to our Beneteau- it comes with a T-Box, which is a wireless unit that talks to our iPad through a local wifi signal. By adding this $150 transduce+T-Box we get a live sonar feed into our Navionics app on our iPad (and the phone and any other device on board that has the Navionics app and wifi).

We can see the depth right on our iPad within the Navionics app. We can also see a sonar image so we can tell what's under us.
It was easy to set up and really useful- one of the best additions we've made to our boat.
